Around and About

Natural treasures abound in the Manning Valley. With so much to see and do it is sometimes hard to know where to begin.

A 20 minute drive will take you to Taree, centre of the Manning Valley. Highlights include beautiful riverside parks, Manning Regional Art Gallery, and of course shopping, with all the variety of larger centres.

On to Wingham, and Wingham Brush, 10 hectares of sub-tropical floodplain rainforest. Giant Moreton Bay Figs, Strangler Figs, and flying foxes dominate the Brush along with birds and native marsupials. Close by are Ellenborough Falls, the largest single drop in the southern hemisphere, and they are simply stunning.

Arts and Crafts abound in the Valley. Large and small galleries with fabulous displays of local work can be found throughout the area. Many offer cafe facilities as well, allowing leisurely browsing.

Theme parks are close by. Big Buzz and Ton o Fun are approximately 30 minutes drive from Weeroona on the road to Forster/Tuncurry. Both are family parks with fun for kids of all ages.

There is so much more to do – walks, National Parks, State Forests, Historical Buildings, Community Markets. We cannot list all we have to offer here. Please contact the office at Weeroona. We will gladly furnish you with a guide to Manning Point and the Manning Valley.

Enjoy your next holiday at Weeroona Holiday Park, see our rates and bookings page for more information.
